Gnome Postcards
Post cards were first introduced into Europe and North America in the late 19th Century and quickly gained in popularity.Photography was not widely used at the time and most cards were illustrated with drawings and painted in beautiful watercolours. Gnomes were shown in all sorts of scenes, always happy, cheerful, busy and doing what gnomes do best, making you smile.
